If you’re looking for a quick, easy dessert – here it is. It’s not made from scratch, but it is a hit for quick, easy, and delicious. Triple Chocolate Oreo Dessert Recipe in a jar. Here’s how it came about….
We had been planning a bonfire here on the homestead for several weeks, and I knew that we would have our normal smores and other desserts available. But I was in the mood for something a little bit different.
On a whim, I ran into our local dollar store to grab a couple of quick items, and on the shelf sat the cutest little half-pint mason jars.
They were strictly for decorative purposes only, but I thought they were just too cute to pass up. So I grabbed a box of 12 and headed to the register with them.
As I was driving home, it hit me; I could use these sweet little jars and do something with them at the bonfire – but what?
Diving into the typical Pinterest search I put in Mason Jar desserts, and “wa-la”, the screen was loaded! After reading through several that were made from scratch.
Knowing I didn’t have the time, I decided to take my own way out and make my own version of an easy no-bake Mason Jar dessert.
Hence, it was a great big hit, and it’s now known as the Triple Chocolate Oreo Dessert Recipe.
Triple Chocolate Oreo Dessert Recipe In A Jar
Ingredients:
Oreo Cookies – crushed
Jello Instant Pudding Mix -Chocolate
Whole Milk

Directions:
The first thing I did was to use my Ninja Chopper to chop the Oreos into very small pieces and set the cookies aside in a large mixing bowl. If you don’t have a chopper, you can put your cookies into a Ziploc bag and crush them using a rolling pin – I did this for years.
Next, follow the directions exactly on the Jello Instant Pudding Mix. I did one box at a time since I wasn’t sure how much I needed to fill my cute Jars. The pudding does not “thicken” immediately; it has to sit for 2-3 minutes. So while it was still in liquid form, I poured it into a 1-gallon Ziploc bag and closed it up.

I used a Ziploc bag because I don’t have a Cake Icing Kit with a Silicon Bag, but I knew I could cut a bottom corner off the bag and squeeze the pudding into the small mouth jars.
Once you have your Oreos crushed and your pudding made, you are ready to make your dessert. It’s super simple, and it’s done in repeating layers:
Assembly:
Begin with a layer of Oreos at the bottom of the jar.

Next, squeeze in a layer of the Jello Pudding from your zip lock bag or whatever you are using.
Squirt, from the can, a very thin layer of Reddi Whip.
Repeat layers until the jar is full.
In my half-pint Mason Jar, I ended up with 2 layers of Oreos, Chocolate Pudding, and Reddi Whip.

Once I had them made, I placed the jars onto a cookie sheet and sat them in the refrigerator until we were ready to eat them that evening at the bonfire.

I didn’t get to take a picture of the completed dessert with a layer of Reddi Whip on top. But that would be really simple, squirt… it’s done!!
So, there you have it. Since you are looking for an easy no-bake Mason Jar dessert, you have found it! It’s the perfect layered dessert in a jar.
Oh, and if you do have the time to be creative and want to cook from scratch, you need to try Victoria’s Homemade Oreos over at A Modern Homestead. Honestly, I haven’t tried them myself, but they look fabulous. I have added them my list of From Scratch Recipes I plan to try.

What is the cup of whole milk for?
And can you use cool whip instead of ready whip?
Hi Latoya,
The milk is for making the chocolate pudding (directions for pudding is on the box) Sure! You can use cool whip. I have done both but do find being able to spray the ready whip into the jar is just cleaner and faster than spooning cool whip. But either is great!!
Enjoy!
